Ten ordained as priests,four ordered as Deacon while two Archedeacon retired at Seseme Cathedral

 

 The Bishop of Diocese of Muhabura Right Reverend Cranmer Mugisha ordained ten priests, four deacons, retired two archdeacons
and one lay leader on Sunday 5th December.

The function that attracted Christians from different parts of Kisoro was held at St Andrews Cathedral Seseme Church of Uganda.

Among the priests that were ordained include Maniraguha Wilson who is currently at Gifumba C.O.U, Rev Benon Nsabimana,Rev Mftumukiza James of Nyakabingo,Rev Benon Nsabimana,Rev Amos Mfitumukiza,Rev Tugume Baker, Rev Medard Tumuhimbise, Rev Samuel Bizibimana ,Nsabimana Julius and Musekura Habert.

The ten ordained priest took oaths of canonical obedience and allegiance.

Deacons who were ordained are Byaruhanga Gerald, Wilber Munyambabazi,Ndikumwami Gad and Christopher Rottman.

The ordination was led by the Bishop of Diocese of Muhabura who congratulated the new priests and deacons.

While preaching during the service Reverend Nkurunungi Milton the Archdeacon of Kikungiri in Kabale Diocese told the ordained priests and deacons that they should commit themselves to God and works hard while preaching the gospel. He called upon the ordained servants to be ambassadors of Christ and not give up on serving God.

Meanwhile Rev Jackson Sabiti the archdeacon of Iryaruvumba and Rev Habyara Kyiza the Archdeacon of Gitovu retired today.
