The
Mbarara City based Bishop Stuart University has set new dressing code for all
students.
In a notice dated 1st December 2021 directed to all University students, Rev. Francis Muhangi the University Dean of students says they banned the wearing of sandles, damaged
trousers, shorts, braided or plaited hair, tattoos, earrings and uncombed hair on the side of male students, Mini skirts and dresses, mini pants, damaged jeans and tattoos on the side of males.
According
to Rev. Muhangi, effective 2nd December 2021 students with the above
dress code will not be allowed access to the University premises, lecture
rooms, offices and the University chapel.
The
Dean of Students stressed that the above and any wear that is unacceptable as
addressed in the University regulations and guidelines for students’ 2018
chapter 2 sec 5 will not be entertained in the University.
