The mass vaccination was done in the whole district targeting all persons above eighteen years of age.
Monday morning 6th December, police and UPDF was actively asking for vaccination cards from shop attendants and those entering the town.

Many people without cards struggled to access the market places as others were being directed to vaccination centers put at the entrances of all three markets in Kisoro town.
The Kisoro Deputy RDC Ndikumwami Dan said the operation is to continue every day to make sure that every person entering the town is vaccinated.
He warned people who are buying vaccination cards without getting vaccinated saying they will be punished heavily in case they are caught.
He also warned some church leaders who are misleading their followers to avoid vaccination.
