Security in Rubuguri town council yesterday halted the crusade at Lift up Jesus church found in Rubuguri town council which it says was illegally organized.
The crusade was being led by the church lay leader Mr. Ahimbisibwe Alex who had received guests from Kabale District led by the wife to the Bishop of Lift up Jesus Mrs. Margaret Kiiza.
Shortly after it had begun, the security officers came and ordered congregants to vacate the place.
According to the OC Rubuguri police station Mr. Tumukwasibwe the crusade was illegal since the church was closed down in February this year by officials from state house.
Mr. Kanyamunyu Fidelis said there should be no reason why the people promoting tourism in the area should be confronted. He thanked the Romanians for the work they are doing in Rubuguri, especially promoting development in constructing hospitals, orphanage centres and schools.
According to him, Hope mission has so far supported 48 families by constructing houses for them .He said as concerned people from Rubuguri they are going to petition the office of the president and find possible means of settling the matter.

Meanwhile the church lay leader Mr. Ahimbisibwe Alex said that for them they had organized prayers to attract the attention of the state house that delayed to give the final conclusion.
