Kisoro district Football Association (DFA) lauds MP Paul Buchana for financing tournaments

 

 Central Ward football team players ended year 2021in   jubilation  after receiving  UGX1M that was given to them by Hon. Paul Kwizera Bucyana after their victory in Kisoro Municipality Christmas cup that started on 18th December 2021. Central ward won the final match against Nyagashinge that was played on 31^st November 2021

The one goal  for central ward was scored by Sadique who scored in the final minutes of first half.

 Central was rewarded with a cash prize of one million shillings and a trophy while Nyagashinge ward was rewarded with UGX600, 000 as first runners up.

In the third position was Busamba ward that also won against Kamonyi ward by one goal to Zero to pocket 400,000 shillings prize while the rest of the participants were rewarded with 200 thousand shillings each.

Speaking as after the match, the Kisoro district Football Association (DFA) Chairman Sunday Andrew commended Paul Kwizera Bucyana for supporting the youths through organizing tournaments.

He asked Hon. Paul Bucyana to financially help the DFA to renovate Shaza playground, establish district leagues for both males and females.

 Hon. Paul Kwizera Bucyana who was the guest of honor commended Kisoro district football association leadership for partnering well with his tournament’s organizers to have a beautiful and peaceful competition.

 He asked DFA to officially write to him seeking help and he will involve other members of parliament from Kisoro district.On Tuesday last week, district councilors also vowed to demand for an upgrade on shaza playground after their match against the district youths council.

Meanwhile, the Bukimbiri MP, Hon. Eddie Kwizera Wagahugu while appearing in a talk show at voice of Muhabura on Thursday night, promised that he will lobby for construction of a playground in each sub county in his constituency and also supply uniforms to players to motivate them into the field of sports.

Wagahungu also suggests that Bukimbiri County needs to set up its own sports federation that will oversee all sporting activities in the county.
