Police in Kisoro have arrested one Yohana Maniragaba a 55 yearold man, aresident of Nturo village ,Gisorora parish, Nyakabande sub county in Kisoro district for alleged murder of his 15 year own biological son.
Police has identified the deceased as Rogers Ndayambajje.
It's alleged that on the 24 September 2022, at around 10:30am, at the above village, the victim was assaulted by his father and others accusing him of stealing his 40Kgs of Sorghum.
According to Kigezi region police spokesperson ASP Maate Elly, the victim of assault later succumbed to death on Tuesday 27th November 2022 at around 11:00am from their home.
However the death was not reported until Wednesday 28th at around 07:00pm when Police learnt of the incident through a whistle blower and officers booked out on information to confirm.
ASP Maate said that the scene was visited and examined, statements obtained from witnesses and the father to the deceased arrested.
Body was taken to Kisoro Hospital for postmortem.
ASP Maate said that inquiries are at hand.
