Avoid congested places, RDC Ssekandi



The Kisoro district RDC Hajji Shafiki Ssekandi who is also the chairperson of Ebola task force has advised people to avoid going in congested public places in the district as a way of controlling the spread of Ebola.

RDC said that Ebola a deadly disease with no cure has claimed over 23 people in Mubende while others are still battling the disease.

He said that that the congested like cinemas, markets, and events such as weddings and burial ceremonies should be avoided to avoid the spread.

He also advised bus conductors to follow standard operating procedures like taking temperature records of passengers and putting hand washing facilities at bus terminals. He warned people no to go for burials in Mubende where the disease was first confirmed.

There is no treatment for Ebola, which is transmitted by close contact and body fluids such as saliva, vomit, faeces, sweat, semen and blood.
