A 27 year old head teacher at River Jordan primary school in Kisoro district has today appeared before Kisoro chief magistrate on cases of defiling a 15 year old pupil at Bright Valley primary school.
One Uwimana Emmanuel the head teacher at River Jordan primary school in Nyakinama sub-county, Kisoro district has been charged with two cases of aggravated defilement and child trafficking.
It is said that on 23rd march 2023, one Uwimana Emmanuel head teacher aided the 15 year old P.7 child to escape from Bright valley primary schools in Kisoro municipality and engaged her in sexual immorality.
After realizing that the child is missing at school, the school authorities reported the case at Kisoro police station and the victim was found after one week on 30/03/2023.
Bahati Steven, father of the victim and a resident of Gahiza village, Buhozi parish in Busanza sub-county requested the court to make sure that they punish the suspect if proved guilty because of the evil he committed.
The suspect Uwimana Emmanuel denied the allegations t and this prompted the Kisoro chief magistrate Kommakech Kenneth to remand the suspect until 26thApril 2022 for plea.
